Booking conditions

Rates are per person, include VAT @ 14% and are quoted in SA Rand (subject to change without prior notice).

All reservations require full pre-payment (Credit Card – MasterCard and VISA – or bank transfer to South African,
German or Swiss bank accounts) one week before arrival of guests (end of cancellation period).

All requests, confirmations and cancellations are only valid if in writing. No departures/arrivals on New Year’s Day, January 1st each year.

Provisional bookings will only be held for the period of time stated on the provisional confirmation,
thereafter the booking will automatically be released.

The cancellation fee is a percentage of the full accommodation account and is not dependent
on the Lodge’s occupancy level:

  • > 31 days prior to arrival: admin fee of R 100
  • 15 to 31 days prior to arrival 50%
  • 8 to 14 days prior to arrival 75%
  • 0 to 7 days prior to arrival 90%

If available in your country, we recommend to take insurance cover against penalty fees resulting from travel cancellations.

Long term bookings (i.e. more than 14 days) and exclusive reservations (entire house) on arrangement only.
